Australia
IID has been involved in developing a methodology for auditing NRM investments for the New South Government and implemented audits over 9 out of 13 regional Catchment management authorities between 2008 and 2010. This work is now carried out by a specialised company that has evolved from IID's Risk Management Group, called Enrvironmental Risk Science and Audit (ERSA).
Myanmar
Completion of the Evaluation and Review of the Nargis Reconstruction Program early 2011, an assessment of the efficiency and effectiveness of the reconstruction program after the 2004 Cyclone, with UNDP Delta Working Groups (ASEAN. UN, Gov. of Union of Myanmar, UNDP), 2010.
Kazakhstan
Sustainable Rangeland Management for Rural Livelihood and Environmental Integrity Project, UNDP/GEF/GTZ Kazakhstan, 2010.
Kyrgyzstan:
Demonstrating Sustainable Mountain Pasture Management Project in the Suuasmyr Valley, UNDP/GEF, 2010.
Azerbaijan
IID completed assignments on two projects A Regional Pilot Project to Address Pasture Degradation and Sustainable Management, UNDP/GEF, 2009. and for an Irrigation Project for ADB.
Regional Central Asia
Evaluation of the Central Asian Countries Initiative for Land Management (CACILM) 2009. The CACILM program is a $US 1.3 billion multi-country initiative to combat land degradation in the five countries over 10 years. Countries covered by CACILM are: Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.
Timor-Leste:
IID carried out several projects in Timor-Leste, the Preparation of a Livestock Development Policy, 2008 for the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries. three assginemnts related to strategy preparation, evaluation and assessments with regard to horticulture initiatives of the Dezenvolve Setor Privadu project of USAID.
Vietnam
IID's Victor Squires was selected as the Biodiversity Conservation and Land Degradation Specialist to asssist UNDP Hanoi in mainstreaming biodiversity conservation into tourist sector, and to promote sustainable land management, 2010/2011.

Myanmar Representation
IID has a number of liaison offices in Australia and in Asia. Currently, IID established a representation in Yangon, Myanmar, in December 2010 staffed by an experienced Development Consultant. We expect that Myanmar will gradually reassert its rightful place in the world as a result of the recent election and that there will be renewed international investment in development. IID members and directors have had experience in many parts of Myanmar since 1982 for a variety of clients including AusAID, UNDP, the World Bank and the Mekong River Commission.
